Halloween shopping!

Last year my beloved gargoyle was stolen off my mailbox (sniff). BUT never fear I found an AWESOME replacement this year at Marshall's. He it HUGE! I love him. I've name him Seamore. He looks like a Seamore doesn't he?

I found these at the Dollar Tree for booze & wine bottles & two litter bottles for the kid's party. How FUN! for a BUCK! I thought they might be a cool add on to scrapbook pages too...

Seamore with friends! I found these crows at the Dollar Tree too! I've seen crows in other stores for MUCH more $$$

I've surprisingly, well to me any way found a lot of wedding themed stuff. Much to my delight I might add. this theme is easier than I thought at first.

I've been looking for this cand mold forever! thank you Walmart for finally having it!

I also found gummy skulls, rats, and bones to help me decorate my "wedding cake"
I bought little skulls to hold up the cake between the layers.

I'M SO JAZZED! this should be FUN!

Planning, the Devil is in the details...

I'm working on my plans for HALLOWEEN! I know I'm touched BUT I don't care I LOVE IT!
This year I've settled on a wedding theme something along the lines of the wedding feast from Great Expectations with a little creeper thrown in... I've already located molds for the candy rats....LIFE IS GOOD! LOL! I'm going to try my hand at making a wedding cake...Halloween style of course. I've never worked with fondant before this should be interesting. My cake decorating skills I haven't used since 1984 in culinary school. I wasn't much of a pastry chef then, BUT my attention to detail and my patients level for working with artistic stuff has grown over that time. Any way it will be a learning experience, and my nod to one of my favorite shows Ace of Cakes. Not sure if I sould thank them for the inspiration yet... LOL!

I found some wonderful pieces for the buffet table at Hobby Lobby. I call it fondly Goth elegant. Black "jeweled" pieces pretty and creepy at the same time gotta love it! I just have to find the perfect table cloths...

This is what I'd love to wear....BUT isn't going to happen...BUMMER

Visiting Some old Haunts & Digging Up Some New Friends

It's alway nice to find a smiling face when visiting a foreign land

My new boyfriend! Isn't he a killer?

I so want to make a Freddy dummy this year. The wax museum at Niagara Falls was a HOOT!

Halloween on the Brain!

I'm certifiable I know... I'm starting to plan for next Halloween. I think I'm going to steal the B&G haunted wedding theme. Hey, it could be a mock renewal of Jim's & my vows?! ROFL! Any way I keep seeing these wedding dresses hanging in the window at Goodwill. Gives me ideas of tattered zombie brides... If I can get one cheap enough why not? The pirate costumes weren't cheap. matter of fact after paying for wigs, hats, boots, stocking, swords, etc they were down right pricey! This year a more affordable assembly would be nice. So I'll be working on the theme!
